a week at butterland

a few weeks ago i spent one blissful week at butterland – a property owned by greg hatton and katie marx just outside of newstead, victoria.  it is an utterly beautiful place – not showed any justice at all by my crappy iphone pics. i was accompanied by my book dream team – michelle mackintosh, chris middleton, alice oehr and amelia leuzzi (as well as a bunch of other fantastic helpers arriving daily), with the sole intention of shooting a bunch of images for my new book.  the weather was exceptionally kind to us, and we managed to score the last week of beautiful autumn sunshine (although GODDAMN the nights were cold).

from alice’s amazing lunch-time spreads, to hanging out with newborn lambs, and not to mention the incredible work we achieved – the whole week was a completely magical experience. fingers crossed it shows through in the new book (which will be out november 1!).

ps amelia took pics 2 and 8 and they are much nicer than mine – you might even spot me in there somewhere.

pps a bit more on butterland here

Wow! your book looks AMAZING! Just the inspiration I need. My new (tiny) apartment is a blank canvas and I have been trying to work out how to make it feel like home
