my very first book “compendium of me” through erm books, will be launched tomorrow night at lamington drive.
this being my first book, it was a bit of a torturous road – 15 years of ideas and only 30 pages to put them in! but i got there in the end, and the result is a group of illustrations that represent various parts of my life in september 2011 – a little visual time capsule of sorts. initially i had small explanations on each page, but raph cried “too obvious – don’t insult your readers!“, so i took them out (if anyone buys the book and wants the explanations, i’m more than happy to tell you all about it). a little preview:
limited copies will be available at the launch (i can even sign it for you), and online at erm books after that. it will also be available on my webstore, and through select other awesome stores in the very near future. (NB as with all erm books, this is limited release of 1000 copies – each book is numbered too.)
tomorrow night will be a double event, also launching marc martin’s “Silent Observer” (also through erm books) at the same time (plus he has a show on at lamington drive! triple bonus!). details of the launch:
lamington drive, 15-25 keele st, collingwood. from 6pm-9pm
delicious rum cocktails will be generously provided by sailor jerry rum
