i was sad after writing last nights post and felt like i needed to add some happiness to counter-act it. so here are 5 good things about this week -
1. crochet dolls from jo

my friend jo is the only person i know who can out-opp-shop me. she can spot something amazing a mile away, and luckily, she shares the love. she gave me these 2 dolls on the weekend . i used to have some similar when i was little and treasured them so much, but they have since gone the way of many treasured childhood things and disappeared. was very excited to receive them. thanks jo!
2. my interview on pattern pulp - thanks to shayna kaylik for the nice questions.
3. my talk at the melbourne museum – it was the second talk i have given as part of a forum for the current top design exhibition. the talks are for vce students, and for a bunch of 15-17 yr olds they were very receptive and i barely saw any yawning/sleeping during my speech at all. i am giving more talks on the 11th and 13th of may.
4. discovering a new favourite drink - sweet turkish lemonade. packaging and logo equally as good

5. dinner with my mum, sister and uncle at cumulus – i love andrew mcconnell’s food. braised wagyu with winter greens and freekeh & cracked wheat salad were a taste sensation! company was excellant too.
